What does “Choose questions from keywords” mean in Question Rankings?
What this feature lets you do
In the Question Rankings section of Knowatoa, you’ll see the option to “Choose questions from keywords.”
This feature enables you to select suggested AI questions for tracking based on actual data about how users are looking for your brand online.
Connecting traditional search keywords to real AI search questions.
We make an assumption that user intent doesn't change. People are trying to accomplish things in their lives and turning to whatever tool that is that can help them, and at a certain level, they don't really care if they're typing into a textbox on Google, ChatGPT, or some other AI search service.
We then do a deep classification of the traditional search keywords that people are finding your site with today.
From this, we're able to accurately model the types and volume of questions that people are asking of AI search services like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Perplexity.
For example:
Keyword: CRM for freelancers
→ Suggested question: “What’s the best CRM for solo freelancers?”
Keyword: contract automation
→ Suggested question: “How can startups automate contract workflows?”
This saves you time and gives you a question set that mirrors how your audience communicates with generative search platforms.
