Why does a bot show “Failure” or “Needs Investigated”?

If a bot in the AI Search Console shows “Failure” or “Needs Investigated,” it means our simulated test could not confirm that the bot can access your site.

However, your site might still be indexed successfully — sometimes the block only affects the test.

Things to check:

• Make sure security plugins aren’t blocking the bot.
• If you use a Web Application Firewall (WAF), confirm it isn’t blocking the bot’s requests.
• Services like Cloudflare or similar CDNs can block bots depending on their configuration — check your settings.
• Verify the website URL you entered is correct.
• Copy the URL of the bot’s detail page and share it with your IT team or hosting provider for further review.
